Die grinder

Looking at getting a die grinder for the odd job Don't want to spend loads as will only be used a few times a year no doubt
Looked at this cheapo anyone got one that can give a review Rather buy new as imagine they can have a hard life

I got an "evolution" graded one off eBay for about that. It's been faultless. Heaps of grunt. No speed control, although I have read about people wiring them in. I'm not electrically skilled!

See they do one with a drill style chuck that have speed control Looks as it's smaller tho but same speed

Arrived today and seems to have a decent heft and not totally flimsy.

Plastic moulds are REEKING but hopefully should go. Forgot to get any 6mm shanked burrs so only had a try with the included (rubbish) abrasives. Has lots of poke but runs a tad fast. As there's no speed control I shall have to adapt

Comes with a ¼" and 6mm collet, spare brushes, couple of abrasives and two spanners for the chuck.

On/Off switch on its backside out of the way is a nice touch.


Still no idea what the wee rubber prophylactic is for though

Instructions are a hilarious mix of Chinglish and photocopies of a photocopy level of sense.

Beware it only accepts 220/240V currency so it might be difficult to buy!

I've got the exact same one as shown,good little tool well pleased with it,flex is a little short though

I have same machine also. Very powerful a load of torque. No variable speed. Switch is well located but looks like an afterthought.

I am impressed with it for the money.

About 2m of okay-ish PVC special here. By no means a bad one but it's not H05 or 7 you know?

I meant "adapt" the monkey operating it as that's free and easy
