Dial gauge spindle extensions?

As the title suggests, where in the UK do I buy some extensions to screw into the spindle of the DTI, had a backlash job a couple of days ago and the standard short spindle was a pain to position accurately.

I would if I had the tools to do so...
I've haven't got a lathe or any way of turning down some bar and threading it to 2.5mm.

Well I've tried the mitutoyo site and most of the extension numbers don't work...
Put them into Google and there's some success but the site which stocks them has a minimum £25 order.
Guess I'll keep searching.

Cheers for that dom, I'll bear these in mind if one or two phone calls on monday don't pay off.

what do u need the extensions for al I did with mine was buy a hex head screw to g0 in dial gauge soldered a length of wire on to reach down in to motorcycle cylinder through the plug hole to find tdc of pistons

I'll need an adapter from m2.5 to 4-48 and then that set will be spot on.

rsk a member on here someone may make u an adaptor to fit in for a few shillings buy the one of ebay as in post 7 cut the end off re drill and tap it to suit extensions the jobs half made for £1.70
