Dewalt rigger boots- don't!

Screwfix had a load of boots and safety shoes reduced last week. Might be worth a look on the website if anyone is in the market for a pair. Some were Dewalt, others were the Site brand, and another brand I can't remember.

Most regular clothing/footwear is made in China or similar for as long as I can remember. Have no idea why anyone would think a Dewalt boot would be made anywhere other than somewhere like that. £60 is not going to buy you a handmade boot made in Spain or Italy.

Just ordered some v12 dealer,as I'm fed up with "shelleys" boots letting in water after 3 months,shame as they are comfortable.

I get mine from wynsors.
They last six weeks.
Which works out at a quid a week.

I wear goretex hiking boots, waterproof, warm, comfy but no steel toes, they hurt my feet too much so I'm careful. I only put steel toes on when customer site visits demand it.

I take your point about the price- but my ordinary Clarkes boots (made in Vietnam) were much the same price, and used nearly as heavily, have been indestructible and totally waterproof. It can be done.

As so many things you buy these days, I'd rather pay 50% more and know I'll get good service. Often there doesn't seem to be that choice.

HAIX. Ive had haix x21 boots and trekker boots. I wore out the sole on the x21 boots over about 9 months, which is about normal for me, but the boots have a 2 year warranty so I thought I'd try.
I emailed brixworkwear.co.uk in monaghan, where I got them and within a week I had a free replacement pair.
Excellent quality boots and brix workwear are very helpful.

Work recently supplied us with uvex boots. They seem good quality, comfortable too.

I've got a pair of Haix air power xr3 with carbon fibre toe caps, by far the best boots I've ever worn.
