Basically it's a unit with two USB ports that fits on any 10.8,14.4,18v slide battery.
I rarely go in Machine Mart but I was in a branch the other day and couldn't believe my eyes when I found a fully boxed one in the clearance area for £14.40.
When I got home I put it on a fully charged 5ah battery. When you slide it on it does a check of the battery which I guess is more useful on the 10.8 as they don't have a meter on them.
I then thought I would see what it would do, I had two Iphones on it no problem and it charges quickly. I then charged an Ipad mini from 60% to 100%. Eldest had his phone on it while watching Youtube and he said it was able to keep charging even though it was in full use. I've done multiple phone charges this week. I took it in the car yesterday and charged my on the way and then again on the way back as it was down to 30%. I think I got Monday and would you believe the 5ah battery is still on two LEDs.
The only criticism I have is the battery doesn't latch on but I think that is to do with the fact it work with the battery sizes. Not sure if it works with the Flexvolt but it should fit as the Flex batteries are backwards compatible
Genuinely very impressed with it especially as I got it for £14.40 and it's a worthwhile addition if you have Dewalt kit. Recently there were some DCB091 reasonably cheap on ebay, they are the same but they have and extra power socket where the Dewalt heated jacket plugs in.
