devilbiss GTI question

i have a GTI spraygun that i was given. when i attatch the airline to it air bleeds out through the nozzle before the trigger is pulled. i have taken the fuid tip off and air is still coming through so its not the tip itself. is this normal or is there a seal that has gone somewhere else in the gun?

I would look at the air valve that the trigger actuates, may just want a clean up.

if i push that pin that the trigger actuates from side to side air escapes from it. is that a seal problem or normal? am i right in thinking no air should pass through the gun until the trigger is pulled?

Indeed no air till you pull the trigger, sprayguns direct will be able to sort you out a service kit though.

It's worth changing all the seal's on a old gun anyhow.

is the fuid needle in two pieces, if yes it needs lengthening so it sits in the fluid cap. Unscrew its cap at the back and pull it out to check.

the needle is nothing to do with air flow, the needle can be removed without air escaping

My GTI had one of those plastic air valves, replaced it with one for the JGA made of metal, lasts way longer.

There is a seal on the trigger rod, it's this that is letting the air out
