Denford Cyclone or Denford Easyturn

Anyone have experience of both and can comment on which would be better based on the following criteria:

1 - Easy of use of standard (original) controller
2 - Ease of retrofit if controller is junk
3 - Performance of linear motion system
4 - Usefulness for one-offs

I'm looking to get a cnc lathe, something small and it's a decision between these 2.

Can't comment on those but I have seen plenty of people retro fit both.

It's fairly easy to knock up a small diy lathe. Here's one I put together a few years ago for a bit of fun.
It's still knocking around if you want to come over and have a play with it.
