Yeah, it would appear so, I'm chuffed to bits with it and can't wait to getting it up on a bench and in use.
But more importantly, it's going to be preserved, cosseted and used.
The former owner was keen that it didn't just go to some randon 'collector' or, worse, weighed in!
We picked one up today, not quite as cheap but close. Did you find any more info on it RWD - dates/ model name? Very pleased with it so far - smooth, quiet and very solid :-)I did find one on ebay:

I know previous posts here are now quite old, but when trying to identify a specific model, you have to take the manufacturer's sales literature with a pinch of salt.
I am not sure any brochure shown above is a photo of an actual machine: it is an artist's impression of that machine so has some corresponding artistic license.
A lot of the sales material would have been produced when the machine was at the prototype stage, so they could sell some as advanced orders. The production version is highly likely to be different.
A good example is the Chipmaster brochure here (https://lathes.co.uk/colchester-catalogue-covers/). It has a family resemblance but is not an actual machine.

I must have missed this so apologies for not repliying sooner!
I never could find much more info. I'm guessing at 40's or 50's going only by similarity of designs that are dated, mainly from Tony Griffiths' web pages here: www.lathes.co.uk
Yours looks in really nice condition, is it in use?
My turn to apologise! Thanks for the reply, yea it's working fine now - I did a thread on the runout we were having but with the help of people on here, we managed to straighten out the spindle, so all good now. They are beautiful things!
