I've started using a new company for steel when I need it delivering as it works out cheaper than the supplier I have used for nearly 20 years and never had an issue although I rarely buy steel, the ends of thin wall square tube are normally a bit bent but they are always over the 6m minimum length.
The first delivery one length of 5 x 30 flat bar had a bend about 1m from one end, only a few degrees but it was a sharp bend and gouged too, was obvious when it was straightened out. I was able to avoid the bend and the gouges were put out of sight.
The second was a sheet of 1mm steel today, one photo is obvious and the other show a 6" long bend from one edge. I can still get what I need out of it, flat shelves from the good edges and the rest will be car patches so will be shaped anyway.

Is this normal or should I expect it to arrive better than this? I just need my expectations aligning with reality I suppose, would anyone refuse delivery because of any of this damage?
