dehumidifier ?

I've got an Ebac dehumidifier I'm repairing, but I have no idea how to test it before selling it, it runs now but I want to see it collecting water on a good 24 hour run.

Any ideas ?

yea run it for 24 hours preferably in a warm humid place

It should condense water on the coils, and if the water freezes it should defrost the coils as well.

Problem is I don't have any where that's humid.

Taking it to a sauna might be a stretch.

Doesn't have to be. Turn it on in any room and you'll pull moisture from the air.

havent u a utility room with a tumble drier or stick it in the bog and boil a kettle or 2 up . i have one on my landing and it fills the tank every 2 days and needs emptying

as matt f says just switch it on in any room,it will surprise you how much it pulls out

I have been using my ancient LEC dehumidifier to dry out my kitchen after the plasters had made it nice and wet! It pulls an amazing amount of water out of the air. As others have commented just plug it in and let it run in your house - if it's working the tank will have plenty in it in the morning.
