Por 15 Marine Clean. Spray it on, work it with a nylon brush then wash all the crap off with running water. Dry with a heat gun. This also works well before derusting electrically.

I'm in devon for the holidays and the local cider got the better of me. I was fine till the fresh air got to me on the walk home, I now understand why it's called suiCIDER!!!

Thats another hazard to welders-fresh air- it has no fumes or grinding dust in it- so we just aint used to it.

I used Genklene in very liberal amounts, Great for degreasing, cleaning paint brushes etc even washing your hands in it. It was great stuff for thinning hammerite for spraying.Thank goodness I don't seem to have suffered any ill effects. Genklene was brought in as a safer alternative to carbon tet. No mention, that it may have been hazardous.

Me too. We used to distill it to remove the oils etc and use it again

Im still OK..........you know what they say..........2 heads are better than one

When I finished work,12years ago. I managed to "obtain" a 5 gallon drum of genklene. Only used it very sparingly as I know it had to last a long time. Stored it in an old shed (which unfortunately had a damp floor) Went to decant some into my little handy tin one day and low and behold the drum was empty. Around 3 gallons had leaked away through a rusted drum bottom. Took me nearly a week to stop crying.
