Here`s one for all the DIY buffs on the Forum.I have just removed a central heating radiator and it will not be going back.I am now left with a massive area without wallpaper. Is there a way of covering up this void,with the same patten paper, without showing a join? The next problem I have is finding the same type of paper! The joys of moving house.

In theory the paper should have been hung from one side to the other continuing above the window so should match up reasonably well below.
Sourcing the same pattern is the hard part.

Stick a chest of drawers in its place.

Get a flatbed scanner against the wallpaper, print your own?

Lining paper and paint the wall is another idea.

In theory the paper should have been hung from one side to the other continuing above the window so should match up reasonably well below.

Traditionally you worked away from the door in both directions and if possible join up in a corner.

Different batches of the same paper can have variations in shades, also depending on how long its been up it may have faded so even if you can find the sam paper it may stick out. Maybe do that one wall in something different as a feature wall?

Yes that is the route I took, we call it the feature wall in the best 'Changing Rooms ' tradition.

Does having the radiator even not working bother you staying in place, at least the deco is covered the unworking rad, can be painted to look in good condition and problem solved for no hassle or cost.

Of course if you want the space gained by removing the defunct rad then my idea is of no help at all.
