Decent tool stores in Carlisle?

As the title suggests, is there any decent tool stores in Carlisle within a short walking distance from the train station?

I occasionally drive the 0708 Glasgow Central - Carlisle via Dumfries ScotRail train and we have almost 2 hours to kill before working a service back to Glasgow. The traincrew bothy at Carlisle is pretty soul destroying after spending anymore than 5minutes in it!

Machine mart (if you call it a tool shop) bottom of Bothchergate 10, 15min from railway station other than that its Thomas Graham at kingstown, big showroom with welding dept. Too far to walk though!

Shame you don't stop over in Dumfries, McDermids is bloody fantastic. Can spend hours in there when all I went in for was a M30 washer...

We have a job that we sit at Dumfries for about 2hours as well I think... a lot of sitting about in some jobs as a train driver... other days you're on the go constantly

Carlisle is about good pies and sausages, enjoy it for what it is. Should still be some good old fashioned hardware stores not been for 4 or 5 years tho

Give McDermid's a gander then if you fancy it. Just up the road from the station. Here's the website, shop is much better than the site!
