Decent roofing firm in Aberdeen

Does anyone know a decent roofing firm in Aberdeen.

My brother in law has been dealing with a bunch of
and now has water coming into his house.
All he needs is an honest decent bloke to put a few tiles back and fix a leak.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Good luck just getting someone to come out unless you need a complete new roof. It’s taken me a few months for someone to actually turn up and give a quote £650 to replace about 10 slates, I’m considering doing it myself but Vertigo is a bit of a problem.

When it comes to roofs and guttering, the thing that never ceases to amaze me is peoples unwavering optimism that water will somehow flow uphill or over obstacles.

So often where there is a leak you will find some sort of low spot, overlap or fold or crease than funnels the wrong way, that just leaves you wondering what on earth they were thinking when they did it.
I reckon the best mantra I've heard when it comes to roofing is “think like rain”.

Do roof repairers ever test their work with a hose?

if you do it right no theres no need to do

i have seen many a mess that needs ripping off and restarting again

ive seen blue slates with clips on them all the way up the side of a dormer when theres no need fo it

ive seen concrete slates wrongly used on the wrong degree fall of slope and the worst being the customer who wont take no for an answer when told there the wrong type to use

i actually told a neighbour this watched them fitting the tiles onto the roof even told the owner that they was using the wrong type for the slope and told them it would leak

and it did as it floooded the building rather well and thats with felt down as well
what did he want to do
bodge it didnt like to be told it wants all taking off and replaced with the right stuff only after watching us do our roof that he then asked for us to look at it then get the cheap cowboys back in to replace with torch on felt
how do i know well i have photos as neighbour complained about there build and asked me to take the photos with digital camera

Thats odd, I would have thought that any reputable roofer would want his work tested, and for their client see them do it.
I suppose its one way to spot the cowboys.
