dead clarke 100e - any ideas?

Hi,
so my car is due to go in for paint next w/e and the welders decided it's a good time to play up. Did some welding last night, went in for a cuppa, back out and the welders dead as a dodo, like there's no power going to it. It's a 12 year old Clarke 100e so not had a bad run considering it's heavily used. I've got some parts left over from a scrap one so thought I'd try and fix it. It's not the plug in the garage or the fuse and plug on the power cable, changed both of those, I've also tried bypassing the main on/off power switch and the torch internals look like they should. Nothing obviously loose internally etc
Any ideas?

just looked the wiring diagram you are going to need a multi meter to make sure power is getting into the welder then if it is you need to check the small transformer on the circuit board as it looks like that will take everything out if it has failed.
there is also another possibility and that is the thermal cut out is your power switch illuminated when switched on, it shouldn't be ?

Thanks for the reply, think it might be something to do with the board, switch seems ok.
Flickr app is useless and wont let me post pics. Noticed some discoloration on the clear box thing with 12v on it in the pic below - just below where dc is printed- is that the transformer?
Typically the spare board is completely different despite being the same model

the clear box is a relay and the contacts do burn out, the relay should click when you pull the trigger, the transformer is the big square grey component.
its easy to just upload pics to the forum

Thanks, looks like it might be the relay then from the discoloration. Do you know if these are available to buy?

as long as the relays specs are correct you can use any by simply wiring it in, doesn't have to be pcb , mounted
