dead batterys any luck on laptop battery

i seen on a few threads of dead batterys for drills back to life using a welder to spark it any one had any luck with laptop batterys

Unless they're old NiMH units you're not going to have any success. Certainly don't try it if they're Li-ION.

I tried the trick of putting a laptop battery in the freezer to 'rejuvenate' it.........didn't work.

will have a look but its about 2012 so prob li ion will check but looks like it might be a bin job but new battery is £25 so will have to sold as is

Not heard that one before, but I've successfully used the hard drive in the freezer trick to get it to work long enough to get the data off it.
