de-nibbing

Did some de-nibbing. The "run razor" was useless and a total waste of money, the Festool works great.

You wouldn't normally use a run razor for de nibbing

You live and learn, I had found some threads "out there" suggesting to use it for de-nibbing. Wish I had read the reviews before buying, almost all say the tool is junk!

The internet is full of experts i'm afraid, most have only read stuff never actually done it !!!, The run razor is for taking out runs which i've found it does very well to be honest or you can use a blade with a turn of tape each end.
Are those Festool thingys some thing like 40 odd quid !!!

Yes, I paid £44 inc shipping for it. Its a lot for what it is but given I plan to do a fair bit of painting on two cars I figure I will need it quite a lot.

Nibs are not runs they are bits of dust and dirt (or in my case usually greenfly feet) that get in your paint after you put it on.
