I recently found a Dan-Mig 140 welder on Facebook Marketplace for $40 usd and figured it was worth a shot. The seller purchased it with a lot of other tools/equipment at an estate sale. Anything that did not work with minor effort was to be sold. The seller said that the wire feed works on some...

the DAN-MIG 140 is a 220 volt machine. Are you sure that your welder is not already set up for 220 ?
The DAN-MIG is a rebadged Migatronic machine. On Page 10 of this Migatronic spare parts list there is a circuit diagram for a welder that can be configured to run on 115 or 230 volts:
On that machine, the main transformer has two primary windings that can be wired in parallel for 115 or in series for 230, and the auxiliary 24 volt transformer has 3 connections on the primary, for 0, 115, and 230 volts.
The input voltage selection is done by jumper wires on a terminal strip, with 3 jumpers fitted for 110v and 2 for 220v. This diagram is not for your machine, but it shows how Migatronic implement input power selection. If your machine can be switched between two input voltages, it must have a similar terminal strip.
