Damp in workshop wall

Think I would wait and sort it properly when the shed gets removed...it's a lot easier to sort from the outside. You could maybe paint something on the wall (as suggested above) as a temporary solution in the knowledge that's the outside will get sorted eventually.

I think this is the route I will take after a chat with nextdoor. I can't see any sensible alternatives that don't involve mucho expense or engineering.

your not going to like what i have to say

first off the wall is the boundary where your shed is built from

you have no right to demand they fit a gutter on there shed or garage as its not your land, you also have no right to demand they fit a french drain at rear of the wall
you also cannot fit a french drain at back of the wall unless you ask for consent, but that water still needs to drain back onto your land if you do get it

you can suggest they fit a gutter on there shed to help it keep it drier

spraying the boundary wall with water seal yes you can but that also depends on access you will only get to spray so far unless you have an extension spray wand that is also consent based ( access to maintain cannot be stopped )

i have damp in the shed caused by a neighbour whos actually built up the land higher than ground level which they cant do but they have

its a single brick wall and yes its been plastered biggest mistake whilst the outside is cement rendered



the cure was simple build another interior wall and grove the floor with channels and a drain point to drain out any water that gets behind in the cavity area
