I had been toying with going to a van as my daily drive, last few years have seen me go through a
D2, loved it apart from chassis corrosion
D3, best all round vehicle I've owned, loads of space and would happily tow big trailers
Jeep Grand Cheokee 2.7 diesel, absolutely bomb proof and 3 yrs after selling it to a farmer friend its still going
Jeep GC WK with the 3l merc diesel engine
As much as I loved the D3, they are getting a bit long in the tooth now and a D4 was tempting but chickened out
Now have a T6 Transporter 4motion and while its early days I really like it. It has the 2nd row of seats which clip in and out, I can still tow reasonably heavy trailers, has AWD for the sticky stuff and can fit loads in the back.
Its just under 2m tall and fits in most car parks, really good on fuel, drives like a car which keeps SWMBO happy and best of all, road tax is way less than the Grand Cherokee It replaced
Wasn't cheap compared to other makes but it'll be with me for the next 10yrs plus
