Cyprus lat Jan early Feb?

Thinking of going here lat Jan early Feb, just a cheap break really.
So what can we do in the area as we haven't been before?

I highly recommend stevie’s jeep safari, it’s a proper off road tour and in a land cruiser unlike the leaf sprung rear end 110 is super comfy

We had a driver called tasos who was brilliant and if you go to the vin yard up mount Olympus buy a bottle of white it’s stunning.

The old town the other side of paphos isn’t worth it in my mind loads of tat on the market stalls

Will you have a car?

The mountains in Troodos are quite spectacular, and then there's climbing up the "Berlin Wall" in Nicosia - really creepy seeing the forgotten area from 1974.

Ayia Napa is worth a visit in the day, too - lovely little fishing town when it's not being overrun by drugged up clubbers.

We used to have an office in Nicosia so I've spent many bored weekends wandering around the island

once went to Famagusta and hired a car drove down a street one side the houses were derelict on the other pristine . saw some soldiers with guns hiding in the gardens took some photos and hightailed it out took the wrong turning and ended up in no mans land and nearly came on a lookout tower turned on road and left fast. the guards in lookout tower with guns. probs thought another pillock tourist in a hire car lost

Of all the places I've travelled Cyprus was the top of the list...people are amazing and the food was out of this world!

I was fortunate enough to get a 6 week posting in Nicosia....was bloomin brilliant!

Great place to go, been holidays there every year for the last 6 years. As others say fantastic people and great food. Always hire a car, can get cheap deals and drive on same side as us.

I’ve been to Paphos in February, weather was dry, warmish in the sun but went off cool. Most of the town was open, restaurants bars etc. I haven’t been for about 15 years but I doubt if much has changed. I found the Cypriots friendly, I would go again.

Yeah - it's very easy and very Britain-like, driving wise. Drive on the left and all the road signs are the same as ours (with the exception of speed limits being KM/h!)

We went in April and it wasnt that warm.....a very cold breeze
