Wife's 2015 Mazda 2 (20K miles) had MOT advisory on OSF rubber boot split. It's an automatic and can't find anyone selling a new CV joint other than main dealers
On inspection, the boot is not split but the little end is 'loose' and has let some grease out. There's no noise from the joint, no knocking at all, and the car runs fine.
I bought one of those split boots that you can fit without taking the CV joint off but I'm wondering if I can get some grease back into the boot and put a new clip on? Can't think of an easy way to do this?? I do have a couple of old grease guns but they are quite mucky and would need a really good clean out .... yuk!! and don't thing they would fit into the small end of the boot easily either.....
Any ideas?
