Cutting thick steels

What about cutting universal beams (RSJ) that are about 10-12"?

I cut 2 203 x 203 x 71kg UC , cut through one flange turn over cut through second flange turn over and cut through the web 15 minutes tops , gaurd restricts a little but no problem , used two discs , first one was used and wouldnt do the second steel so put a fresh blade in and bingo

I cant see any reason why it wont do thicker.

Ive got an evolution skill saw for metal with a blade like that it works well on 6mm but im not sure id like to try 20mm with it !

The blue pro version would do 20mm it just feels wrong plunging a circular saw into steel. I think its rated to about 80mm solid and 12mm in beam or column.

I here ya guys...am a master with the 4 inch grinder but not so with the nine inch...have been looking at plasma cutters but still only a 13 amp supply at the moment..

Nine inch is OK but on 20 mm it wouldn't be as easy and will not be cost efficient (of course it depends on the length of cut)

Another option maybe a recip saw although you may die of boredom first it will do it safely
They cut some 25mm pads up in Gatwick a few years ago with a gang of blokes on them as they couldn't get hot works tickets so they will do it
