OK Chaps, I think that there's a concensus that the Smith & Arrow discs are pretty good in terms of cost+performance for steels - can someone recommend a similar performer for slabs and concrete?
diamond blades every time, cheap ones outlast abrasive many times
if you only have a few then any will be ok, if you have a lot get a brand name one.... i usually buy clipper, norton or marchrist, depending on application & offers
A diamond disc makes a huge difference for cutting stone. Much thinner cut, takes a lot less effort. Used to be very pricey but as other have said the basic ones can be bought for the equivalent of a handfull of abrasive discs.
I have an Aldi one in my 9" grinder which has given great service unlike an earlier nondescript one I had which would not cut no matter how hard you tried, just skated over the top of slabs.
i have brandnew 12" diamond blades going cheap...checkout my user name and put 2 and 2 together as i make sure i dont buy s***e for my job Iff you want one i can get one to your door for 20 notes.
