Cutting cast iron with an angle grinder

I've got to shorten a cast iron waste pipe tomorrow with a 9in grinder. Anything I need to watch, what's the best disc to use?

just a metal cutting disk and wear gloves and goggles and if your working up a height dont do any balancing acts

Standard metal disk, goggles and ear protection it it then, not at height, it's in the bathroom I'm refurbing at the moment.

Cover the mirrors and any ceramic fixtures.
All my coffee cups cider glasses are covered in tiny metal specks.
This kind of thing can get a man murdered.

All went well, except the cup of tea that had a thin layer of black and a tinny taste. I should of asked about dust control as the whole room was grey by the finish.

Good idea. I use the 'tip your mug and blow hard' technique as this also works on flies, leaves wood shavings....but don't do it in doors.
