Cut 40 queries

In my bag with the nozzle is a blue plastic ring. I can't find anywhere it might fit, nor any idea what it is for.

I have been using the cutter quite happily, but it has been suggested that I should have some sort of guide that lifts the cutting nozzle away from the surface. Is that correct and if so, where would I get one?

a guide would make things better but don't have one and its not too hard keeping the tip off the metal just give it a go and get ready for a massive grin to take over your face (in my case followed by the smell of fire cos my trousers were on fire the first thing I tried cutting was a piece of tube and the open end was facing my leg ) can't think what the plastic ring is off but i've had my cutter quite a while now.

Ah I know the blue thing, same on my cut 50. Goes over the powerlead connection to insulate it

edit.. Should say over the nut to be more precise where it screws onto the front panel.
