custom fuel tanks

or any recomendations?
its for a s3 landy ambulance thats going to have disco running gear on a coil sprung chassis.

Before going to the considerable expense of a custom made alloy tank, why not check out whether or not an off the shelf HDPE plastic tank would do the job? These are a lot less costly than alloy, and for serious off road vehicles are a good choice, as no chance of cracks due to vibration etc.

I'm guessing you don't have a list of tanks and sizes or details of a manufacturer that sells off the shelf more basic shaped tanks? I've come across sites selling them for water, but they say they're not for petrol.

As well as several forum members most (if not all) of the companies that fabricate 'off the shelf' automotive/motorsport stuff will take on one off or bespoke stuff. Allisport is a name that comes to mind for Landrover bits, not a recommendation as i've no idea whether they are known for doing fantastic work that's good value or not but they offer an option for series Landys on a coil sprung chassis... http://www.allisport.com/index.php/landrover/27-products/fuel-tanks/28

I altered a pair of tanks for someone who ruined a ltwt by putting it on a coil sprung chassis[can you guess I like cart springs;-)]. The reason for the alteration[as I remember it] was that, the radius arms encroached on the series tank space and the original tank[raro tank] would be out in the open as the back of the chassis was altered.

langy will give you shout once final sizes are worked out.
hotrodder its got two tanks under seats which is when ive built new seat box is where the 4 batts will sit.
so need to get new tank that is also bigger might even require two not quite sure yet.
graffian he is taking from here when its finished rd uk on shakedown trip then planning on rd the world ending up in sydney eventually.
