CT's first welds with Clarke 135TE

Here's a picture of some test welds with my new gear:
Clarke 135TE
0.6mm wire
Universal Argon

This picture is a test using 1.8mm box section.
I tried a couple of feed settings and power settings.
Since it's box I can't take a picture of the penetration.
Though the bottom left weld was too hot and penetrated too far.

I need to do some more scientific weld tests, especially on thin sheet, before I'm happy.

you seem to be getting the hang of it. I think you will find as you get used to it you will be able to turn it back up to the setting in the bottom left and weld faster.

great little welder for the money thats way to go keep practiceing once its set up right it will give you good results

The welder is already starting to pay for itself - yesterday I repaired the ironing board. It had been broken for ages and she-who-must-be-obeyed was going to chuck it out and buy a new one. £16 saved

Picked some more road-side scrap to practice on too.
