I'm looking at getting an oxford mig and the need for a plasma was high.
I've received a ct-312 being the cheapest plasma I could get my hands on at the time.
The fault is that the fan runs soon as you turn it on, but NOTHING else does. It has a power (not oc) light on the front and that doesn't work either. Nor the air/ gas.
It's under warranty ( of unknown quality!, I'm waiting for their "technician" together back to me.
I'm a computer engineer by trade, so I can do the basics and resolder components caps etc.
When I opened up the inside to check for the classic wires off, there were only three things that stood out. The manual states there should be four big caps on the bottom (I only have three with a place for the 4th, the contact thingy that I presume is the hf internal arc? The gap looks big, but nothing bent.
And what my best guess is. There's 2 massive 24vdc? Relays in the middle, same board as the heatsinked midgets. The relays don't smell, but they are full of white crud.
Have a look at these pics. I want them to send me a replacement board, but they haven't said to open it up yet, so I can't tell em!
