Hi all,
As the topic the suggests I'm curious about this little MIG for the sake of site work - I'm a blacksmith. My local welding supplies shop who I get Buse gas via sells these Cros-arc units.
I don't often do site welding & in the past I've used my Thermal arc 175se arc welder for site work, but a small gas MIG with a hobby size bottle will make me sleep easier with the intricate welds I have to do on a current job.
Has anyone used one of these Cros-arcs out on site? Are they easily portable? Are they any good? Are there any other brands I should consider for similar money? I do site work once or twice every few years, so it's not for regular use, so I don't want to splurge loads of cash on something that will probably sit unused for the most part.
Thanks
