Been MIG welding on and off for years and always used gasless / flux cored wire... Tend to buy whatever brand from ebay as I don't have to buy that often.
Changed the wire the other day and now I'm getting lots of bubbles in my welds. It starts off looking fine but then when I pull away a bubble brakes in the middle of the weld leaving a big crater.
Looking around on this forum it seems that either contamination or lack of shielding gas is the problem. I'm not doing anything different to normal so I'm guessing it's not contamination but rubbish flux in the wire?
Anyone else had this problem with flux cored wire?
Anyone recommend a decent brand of flux wire? False economy buying cheap wire if it doesn't work!
Cheers.
