Hello folks
I have this strange problem with my Fronius TransSteel Pulse 500 mig , bought new last year ( I use only pulse mode , wire 1,2 , steel only ) .
This machines works perfectly , but sometimes , while welding on downhill ( expecially on low amps , thickness 4-5 mm ) , the arc stops to be smooth and controllable and becomes really erratic , it turns on and off very fast and it becomes impossible to continue . So I have to stop and restart and it works fine .
This is not happening all the time , but it's really annoying , now it happens and then not , on the same piece .
I tried to change settings and position but the problem is still there ( welding in normal position does not cause any problem , and that's really strange ) .
I bought a new ground cable but it didn't solve anything .
Torch is fine and clean , tip is new , wire feeder tension is fine too .
My dealer sent my machine to the italian Fronius distributor for a check and they did not found any problem .
Any idea ?
