The old post office have been taking advantage of the “free upgrades” being given away atm. Air source earlier in the week (no sign of bigger radiators...)
Today it was solar PV. To be fair these weren’t as bad as the lot my daughter had in, at least these had scaffolding. But you’d thing given the young lad had 24 “slates” to cut through he’d have used some glasses and dust mask?

I wonder what vintage those slates are. They look like artificial slates to me. Having commissioned Asbestos surveys recently in similar buildings most of them turned out to be Asbestos containing.

I used to get that when working at Prout catamarans, I had my own Racal Airstream powered respirator & wore it a lot, not many of the workforce bothered to wear masks at all & would take the mickey. I just used to say "You are going to look pretty silly in an iron lung" & grin at them.
Several boatbuilders i know from back then have died from copd or silicosis.
But you cant fix stupid.

You need a bigger lense those slates are man made composite. You don't cut natural slate with cutting discs.

owner dosnt care about h & s all they care about is there leaky roof they never call when its dry only when its wet windy and awful weather

as goes for grinding on a roof done it for years no mask on you just make sure the wind blows away from you so takes the dust with it

10 yr old plus imitation asbestos. Not sure what was in those, lots of dust, but it was alright, he turned his face away and only breathe in short gasps...

Use scissors more than an axe these days, they put a nice edge on the wind side too
