coventry welding workshop?

i am new to welding and i am cosidering doing a intensive course with this trainer, from scratch to g6 full time about 3k. now i know experience counts for everything and you only get that on the job, here in n/ireland getting a start is impossible without the code so catch 22. all college courses are full and there was only two to start with, seven to a class. for my money i would get one to one instruction. i am 47 though that should have nothing to do with it, much grattitude for any of your thoughts,

Have you searched for the TWI...... why Coventry? If you are in Ireland Manchester or Liverpool would be better. I used someone from Manchester or Leeds yonks back, will look the number up if you like.

You also have to balance the risk of shelling out the 3k + expenses for the Certification, then being unable to find a job at the end of it all, unless you've already got a promise of work subject to course completion.

I did my training in coventry many moons ago and then it was a good setup but from what i hear they have not moved with the times & do not have a good turn out of results.

I did alot of work at F.G Wilson in Larne they had an fantastic training facility just down the road(the name escapes me) its maybe worth looking closer to home.
