couplings and connectors for mig gas

hi all

I am wanting to put my bottles in one area of the workshop so i dont have to drag them around with the welder all the time. i was wanting to use a longer length of hose instead to simply connect into the regulator on the bottle as and when required similar to a PCL type fitment found on air tools. Would PCL fitments be ok or are there tighter sealing fitments which are better or purpose made for the job?

Can some one try and point me in the right direction as to where to get them

My Kemppi Minarc Mig inverter has quick connect fittings for the shielding gas, maybe worth trying a Kemppi dealer?

Theres plenty on the market.

The bore and hoses on PCL ones is probably a bit big to be efficient.

The miniarc has QRs, but so do plenty of others. Quite common to find them on interconnecting cables on larger setups too.

Other place is an airbrush suppliers, they use QRs on some.

I have my 3 cylinders chained to the wall and use a 20' hose running to my mig welder. The hose isn't any harder to drag than the power cord. I have quick connects but they are setup on my spoolgun...Bob

Small bore hose (1/4"), pcl/uni couplers (cos I had a load) and barbed hose tails..... job done.

dont use for O2 or fuel gasses tho

Definitely do not go the Kemppi dealer route, I ordered just one quick release female coupling and they billed me over £20-00, The ones they use are PCL mini couplings,but only cost about 25% of the Kemppi price if bought on-line etc,
