for those who are interested. She is just under 5m long and sliding on 16mm round tacked onto a 3x2RSJ set in concreted.
The gate was made with 40x40 hammered box, 40x10 flat for the arch, and 40x80 box on the bottom to accommodate the rollers. Just used Bankarai hardwood deck boards for the bottom.
The middle horizontal box section has 40x40 angle on the back for the top rollers.
thanks norm. took me a few weeks doing an hour here and there. definitely going to make a bench with steel plate if I do another one. Wasn't easy on an uneven floor.
Tell me about it , when I did my gates I used both parts of a extending aluminium ladder levelled / packed up on some timber as a temporay bench as my garage floor is like a 3d map of the himalayas
one is the RSJ getting set in the ground, The top rollers after just being set in 4x10 flat, you can see I added more flat to make a T piece before welding in place for strength. The other photo is of what you can see of the castor set in the 80x40 box.
