i am new to welding. my first project i welded is my counter top out of steel. i had the steel company break my peices at the measurements needed and i welded them together. after welding, i test fit it and it was a perfect fit, but the top did not rest flat on the sub surface. would welding on of the perimeter edging have caused the top to expand slightly, and if so, how do i relieve that so the top will sit flat??
i would assume that if i glued it down somehow, it will eventually start peeling up again.
i am open to all suggestions. thank you!!
