I would have thought with all your knowledge that you could produce a square of a similar dimension with the required/similar amount of holes in cad to get a ball park figure

Well it did take longer than 10 minutes, but we all got to learn the name of a competitive laser profiler at least

I had a sheet of 10mm mild steel plate (3m x 1.5m) cut for me into two pieces 2.6m x 0.8m and 2.3m x 0.7m with some notches out of them, cost me £247.25+vat in August 2014. That was a company called Laserit in Yate, and that was delivered. That was a common line cut they said, as I wasn't too bothered on the tolerance.

I recently had ten squares cut from 6mm steel plate, 400x400 with four holes in each part £14 each.

This is the basic idea for the frame. There will be more notches for box section etc and gussets.
Box will be 80mm SHS 5mm wall.
