cost of box section?

How much does 40x40 hollow box usually go for? I have managed to get my hands on ten, 6mtr lengths for free (all rust free as well). All I have to do is arrange to pick it up, thankfully my mate has a 7.5 tonner Now I just need to find something to do with it. I feel a welding bench and trolley coming on

yeahhh and the stockholders movable prices, robbin gits charged £180 for a length of 20x120 flat bar the other day

Strange isnt it, i had price for some 6 and 8 round the other day, the 6 was dearer than the 8

cheers guys, wasn't thinking of selling it, it is worth more to me to make something with it. Was just curious about the price. Looks like it would have cost me around £200, so all in all a very good deal for the price of diesel for 7 miles

It's a long way!!! Even for free. Think I might have to cut it into 3mtr lengths to get in the car, pity I haven't got that bloody trailer finished yet!

Is it not worth hiring a flatbed transit or similar for a few hours?

it could well be Hitch, never even thought of that. Still waiting to here from my about about him being able to borrow is 7.5tonner from work for an hour or two. I'd prefer not to cut it down to be honest as it always leads to more wastage, but for the price of a half day hire it's worth thinking about.
