Corner piece for feather edge...?

Due fix the feather edge boarding to first shed in the coming days.

I've noticed that regular wooden batten is usually fitted to the each of the corners. However I fail to see how rain would be prevented from entering since there's no method of overlapping? Seemingly weatherboard uses a better method with scribers?

Any ideas? Thanks

On mine the vertical is filled with frame sealer, then a board over the outside on each face to form the corner.

6" code 3 lead , I used this on my garage 15 years ago ,
Bring the feather edge parallel to the corner.
Dress the lead over with a welt and slide behind the board,
When you install the other side repeat the welt , this will stop water getting past ,
Dress the lead on the corner, you can use polyurethane, or lead sealent to give extra weather protection,

I could utilise a similar method via a batten than board. What is frame sealer? I could use that behind the batten.

Basically fold the lead back on itself ,not to flat though, code three lead is easy to work , scribe a line 20 mm in fold the lead over to this ,
Any driving rain gets drawn under the welt rather than over it ,
6" code three lead 6 meters long = 13 kg
You can buy in 3 or 6 meters , should be about £2.50 per kilo

Frame sealer is a type of silicone used round window and door frames. Just cheaper and over paintable
