Cordless grinder noise

The cordless grinder has started to make occasional high pitched noise when its running or turning off. Im thinking a bearing gone, or the gear are out of alignment/worn. Think its out of warranty, I dont like the idea of it siezing while making a cut.

How easy are they to put back together if I open it up to check?

Look at the gear first that’s the simple part. Drag a magnet through the grease to see if it’s worn heavily.

possibly rear bearing on motor might be dry if its a bronze one. a quick squirt with wd if it has one will prove it

Just noticed its got 2018-01 on the side, so still has warranty if I can find paper bits.

Video of the noise, doesnt pick up too well its louder, and there is a slight torque/kick to it.

I did find the reciept but it was only 30 quid its not worth the effort. Happily buy another at that price. It has done a lot of work this week.

The noise is completely gone, but I wanted to have a quick peek at the gears. I know the gears and housing run hot, yet there is no grease on the gears, dry, but plenty in there. Id expect the grease to melt. Maybe its how I store it, the grease sets at the bottom as it cools down?

Very little visible wear, might have to blue and check how well they mesh.
