Ive been using the modified cordless today, drilled some 10mm holes in steel plate. I am amazed how much torque it has and how quick it goes through them! used lots of pressure, got nice thick chips out.
The only change it was a 14v nicd, needed a new switch www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262799698689 and wired up to a 6s 5Ah lipo pack.
