if it is soft soldered clean with wire wool flux the joint .using a smallish flame propane or butane blowlampmy darling wife deciced to put a copper kettle on top of the stove we no water in it
so ive now got a tiny hole in the base, where its been soldered.

did i say allAh they all were just soft soldered were they, even though they go on a fire, oh! of course they're supposed to have water in them aren't they![]()
if it is soft soldered clean with wire wool flux the joint .using a smallish flame propane or butane blowlamp
heat the metal up and using solder wire dip it in to joint .if the metals hot enough the solder will flow. if not heat up further till solder flows. dip solder wire in to flux and run it into joint capilary action will make it flow round and in to the joint. clean of surplus flux job done![]()
