Hello
I have just bought my first welder and want to start welding. I want to start with flux core welding but I have a concern regarding my machine. The machine can both weld MIG and FCAW but in the manual it states that welding with flux core the maximum weld current should not exceed 130A as the nozzle could be damaged from the heat generated.
My thought was then if you could connect a compressor to the gas inlet on the machine to cool the welding nozzle or would this compromise the quality of the weld?
