I painted the back half of a bike frame this afternoon and wondered about baking the paint. I just so happen to have one of the electrical cabinets from my mill standing outside, and I remember stashing an oil filled heater away in 1986, be a use for it one day. Made a fine oven and according to a thermocouple
it was around 60ºC in the top of the box.
I had no idea of times and temps, so I gave it an hour! I have just looked up a 2k clear sheet and it said 15mins at 60ºC.

Good idea and a nice bike, I almost bought one of those years back, then blagged a Kona Killowotsit frame.
Steel is real.

Baked it may be but I still took the paint off when I bolted the rear V brake

I leave it in the oven till I hear the beep. ( I hate to tell her that it's the smoke alarm going off )
