Ive been having a play with the Clarke Mig that I bought but I think the little disposable bottle will be running out soon so instead of buying another I think it would be better to put the money towards a large refillable bottle.
Only problem is I see two types of gauges, one for Co2 and one for Argon or Co2 / Argon mix.
Which should I go for??? Can you get adaptors to fit the regulator to the different bottle so you dont have to buy two?
I already have a set of oxy acetylene guages sitting in the garage not doing anything, will any of these work / fit for Co2 / Argon bottles??
Also is it ok to purchase the regulator now before getting a bottle? (Is there an industry standard for thread size / pitch when it comes to these bottles?) Wouldnt want to buy one for it not to fit my bottle lol.
Oh and its just like hobby welding that I will be doing for now.
Anyway I thought it would be best to ask the pros before I spent my money on stuff that might not work / fit.
Im guessing I also need one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mig-welde...977?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item256f0979f9
Is there any cheaper around or is that the going rate? (looks like alot of money realy for what it is.
Thanks
