This is not entirely disconnected with my other thread on AllY DC...
While welding some work tables for some one's atelier/workshop, I was musing on the idea of the possibility of using my MIG as a TIG.
If one switched the polarity, turned off the wire feed and fiddled with a TIG torch (which I have) to get the gas connection right, would there be any problem with using it as a power source? It has continuous power regulation rather than stepped and has never called time on any duty cycle, despite the fact I usually run it at max power (150 amp)
Any thoughts from the panel?
