Converting M300 to single phase motor

Well I don't know what to say: I put the Allen Bradley inverter on it and it ran for less than a minute then stopped. Same problem I had with the rotary a while back. So a mate took the motor into his work and had it tested, said it ran fine. So put it back on the lathe, and wired up the Allen Bradley again. And it runs like a dream.

Go figure!%%&*$$%£%&.

So no need to fartaround with a single phase motor, thank god for that.

I've been using for a while, just got fed up of the rotary inverter noise. Though I haven't taken a massive cut as I've not needed to reduce anything to that extent. But....

I've a mate that keeps dropping me massive chunks of hex and round bar in for me. Came round tonight with 4 lumps of 65mm bright round bar, you can see the hex on the shelf.

So next week when I get chance I'm going to make 4 machine jacks to sit bottom rails on when setting up/building frames, so there'll be some chips then
