Safer too. 110v Transformers are CTE (Centre Tap to Earth), so if you were to damage one wire in the tool cable the belt is 55v AC as opposed to 240v.Honestly just buy a transformer.
If you get a new one they’re £100 and a second hand one will be less than half that.
Best £100 you will spend. Doubles the amount of tools available to you and cuts the price.
Bit like three phase but the other way. Generally 110 is built better as well.
110v grinder is about £30 max for a makita one, same again for 240 as it’s more aimed at the DIY market.
