contacts in 250 synro miller tig

just brought a used 250 this machine has sat unused for about 7 years and it wasnt used much before that. i got it home and took it apart to clean out the inside didnt find any problems out of the ordinary dust . i plugged it in turned on the gas (yes it still had half a tank ) . i noticed that there was arcing in the what i think is the contactors under the front door of the machine. i do not believe this to be correct. the machine i use at work does not do this . what is the cause and what needs to be done to correct this problem. the welder does weld good .

Are you sure it is not the spark gaps arcing?

Post a pic, it may be a bad contactor or could be problems elsewhere (like bad diodes.)

not familiar with your machine ,have seen shenion post tips on setting contact gaps on that type of mc ,something to do with hf ........search his posts or pm him.............hope this help
