Might be way off the mark with this post.....

We recently became CHAS registered. Expected by a lot of the big players who we work for. Dead easy to get, took me an hour to fill in the forms and send off. Letter back last week - you have passed All they needed was evidence that we use Method Statements, Risk Assessments, COSHH, etc etc etc. Just print em off

Next one that gets asked for is Constructionline might draw a blank on this, but anyone's work a member of them? Waste of time, or worth it. Its another logo we can put on the vans

How much did it cost ? I think these things are a lot like chain letters we fell for it so you've got to have it, forward it to the all your contractors so they all have to be in it. Just more red tape and paperwork to bog you down but the stickers look pretty, paying lip service but no real value.

Thats like the CSCS card that all site workmen have to have now. Waste of time and money. When I took my project managers card test I found several incorrect answers, As its all H&S I rang them up to tell them. They werent interested, the answer was weve just printed all the books and cds for this year so cant change them. This is to keep people safe on site... Great

totally dude... I refuse to do them.. i already have several C&G's, onc, hnc, etc & absolutely refuse to take another "test" because they cant make the college qualifications worth anything because it would mean failing someone & that might hurt their lazy assed feelings. CSCS is one of the most lucrative wastes of time ever... so it wont go away in a hurry....
